Hi Fabio,
mathpublisher doesn't use the same syntax as Latex. Try something like x = root{n}{y}

 x = root{n}{y}

Cheers! Ian

Hi Ian!

Thanks a lot for this nice extension :)

Just got a problem with my syntax displaying the n-th root.

Checked LaTex syntax and tried the same but I can't get a simple \sqrt[n]{2} to work. What am I doing wrong?

Greetings from Switzerland,

Fabio

Hi Christian,

Sorry, but phpmathpublisher doesn't support that. You could try Joomlatex which supports the full TeX math language. I imagine that will support lower and upper limits on a function, but I'm not sure.

Hi Ian,

it's really great plugin and the syntax fits most of my needs. But for showing an integral i.e. {A = - int{0}{ln(8)}{f_8(x) dx}} I need to have for showing the next step A = Int [F(x)] with lower and upper limits too. Is it possible? Can't find a solution on phpmathpublisher. Is the publish list of syntax complete? Hope you can help...

Thanks in advance,

Christian

A new version 1.8 of MathPublisher is now available. This works on Joomla 1.6 and 1.5. It also has simpler configuration and will show some helpful debug information when the configuration seems wrong.

I installed MathPublisher in Joomla 1.6 and included a simple pi approx 22/7 in an article, but I get an error response in the browser (using Konqueror in Kubuntu...Firefox return a blank page). I'm pretty sure that the PATHs etc. are correct...what am I doing wrong here???

Quoting Ravi:
I need this plugin for joomla 1.6. Has anyone converted this plugin to 1.6? I could change the MathPublisher.xml to get the Basic Option fields working but it is still not parsing the MathPublisher tag. Does anyone know what changes are required in MathPublisher.php or other places for it to work in joomla 1.6.

Hi Ravi,
I haven't looked at Joomla 1.6 yet, but I hope to have some time next week. Hopefully I will be able to provide a version that works soon.

Cheers!
Ian
